The FOMO-->Scarcity swap from Ultimate to Spikeball is fascinating, I hadn't thought of that. Are there coaching video/drill type things you can do solo or 1:1 with Spikeball that'd feel meaningful? Or is it tough outside the energy of a real game?

Right?! It's been one of the more notable and at times frustrating parts of this athletic transition for me. You ask a good question. The short answer is yes. Not included in this condensed history is that in part due to the nascent community in the Bay I've been practicing serves and hits by myself once a week every Tuesday to try to accelerate my development. I've also found an online coach through Instagram/Patreon that has been giving me tips on my hitting, which has been a true game changer! Serving and hitting are fairly easy to practice by yourself, something that will figure prominently in an upcoming installment, so stay tuned. The equally important but much harder parts of the game to practice solo are passing, serve-receive, and defense, which require a group and/or a game to really get the movements/touch/energy right.
